TechPlace Welcomes Central American Company BeltecHub Technologies Inc. to the Soft Landing Program

Burlington, ON, November 4th, 2019 – TechPlace Welcomes Central American Company BeltecHub Technologies Inc. to the Soft Landing Program.

BeltecHub Technologies Inc. is a subsidiary of INVERCA. INVERCA, founded in 2003 to sell industrial supplies and equipment, was the first company in its class to be accepted into a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Facility Hub classification in Central America. INVERCA will continue to diversify and integrate new product lines to their offerings while streamlining their supply chain with the expansion of their Canadian operation with the opening of BeltecHub Technologies Inc.

BeltecHub Technologies Inc. was introduced to Burlington through a tour of TechPlace in partnership with LATAM Startups, a non-profit organization that helps Latin American startups scale in North America. Joining the soft-landing program at TechPlace will allow them to move into a LaunchPad office with direct access to mentorship, programming, networking, events, and resources. CEO and Co-founder Mario Alejandro Escoto is excited to join TechPlace and hit the ground running with BeltecHub Technologies Inc. “After visiting Burlington and getting a tour of TechPlace, we knew right away that we wanted our Canadian office to be located here. Having an office space at TechPlace will not only allow us to have easy access to the North American market but will also provide access to mentorship and resources that will make our expansion easier and assist us in hiring the right talent.”

“We are thrilled that BeltecHub Technologies has chosen Burlington for their new Canadian headquarters,” said Mark Steffler, Manager, Innovation and Partnerships at TechPlace. The team at TechPlace and Burlington Economic Development is thrilled to already see such great success stories materializing from our partnership with LATAM Start-ups. TechPlace has great resources for international companies and we look forward to welcoming many more to our community,” Steffler concluded. During their residency at TechPlace, the Burlington Economic Development team will work alongside BeltecHub Technologies to help them thrive in the North American market.

Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward is thrilled to welcome BeltecHub Technologies to Canada, saying, “We are happy to welcome the BeltecHub team to Burlington. Burlington continues to provide the resources and services that local and international businesses need to grow. Burlington’s skilled talent pool and ideal location within the west end of the Greater Toronto Area makes it a great place for international companies to conduct business.”
