Perspective Burlington hits Newsstands June 28

June 27, 2016

Burlington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is thrilled to announce that the City of Burlington’s Perspective City issue is hitting the streets June 28th. Perspective City is an addition to The Globe and Mail and Metro Newspapers that highlights various cities and their current initiatives and projects. BEDC is eager to showcase the reasons Burlington is the best place to live and grow, and why MoneySense magazine ranked Burlington as Canada’s number one mid-sized city in Canada.

This month’s installment of Perspective features an in-depth discussion with Burlington’s Director of Planning and Building Mary Lou Tanner, on the expansion of Burlington to build a stronger and more prosperous community. This expansion is encouraged by mobility hubs, strengthening existing neighbourhoods and fostering new neighbourhoods – ‘building up not out’ in order to keep Burlington growing in conjunction with its 25-year Strategic Plan.

The issue also includes a look into Burlington’s thriving Clean Tech industry and its optimal location for talent attraction within the Hamilton, Waterloo and Toronto education corridor. Various other features on Burlington lifestyle, innovation and global market participation are also included.

Perspective Burlington delivers a diverse overview of Burlington and why it is not only one of the best places to live, but also to grow. Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring highlights Burlington’s prosperity, “the combination of economic drive and quality of life makes Burlington ideal for growing your business and your family in the same place”.

This free publication is available on June 28th in The Globe and Mail, Metro Newspaper and at the Tourism Burlington and BEDC locations (414 Locust Street, Burlington, L7S 1T7)
