(August 22, 2016) McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business will launch their Knowledge at DeGroote and DeGroote Women’s Professional Network 2016-2017 program in September, with BEDC as supporting sponsor.
The Burlington Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce its official support of the Knowledge @ DeGroote event series for the 2016-2017 academic year. This partnership will not only support the delivery of the Knowledge @ DeGroote event series, but also the ‘DeGroote Women’s Professional Network’ series.
The DeGroote Women’s Professional Network is committed to the advancement of women in business and society by bringing together current and emerging female leaders for networking and professional development through various community events and initiatives. The Network hosts several events over the course of the year including the successful Breakfast Series that features diverse female speaker lineups.
The 2015-2016 Knowledge @ DeGroote events were consistently sold out and brought together industry and academia to advance important social themes through educational events and networking opportunities. Influential community leaders presented on these various themes through topics including gender diversity and leadership, personal branding, generational diversity, and more.
“We’re so pleased to have BEDC partner with us again on this year’s Knowledge @ DeGroote events,” said Kristine Leadbetter, Advancement Officer with DeGroote. “Together we can make a great impact on the businesses and communities we serve by connecting them to like-minded professionals, resources, and development opportunities.”
BEDC’s support will aim to provide resources and additional value towards growing a prosperous community here in Burlington.
